MR.AW WEDDING

Personal project for invitations and party materials for my wedding. Inspiration behind the direction was from Roger Hargreaves’ Mr. Men. I used my husband’s and my’s initials — MR and AW — and combined them into a cartoon character called Mr. Aw, like “awww how cute are they?”

PROCESS
I first started by sketching out ideas for the cartoon and invite layouts. From there, I created a style guide and built out graphics to use on the touchpoints. Then we figured out the event details and layout to build the materials.

SOLUTION
The save the date I sent out was a quick history of our relationship and an introduction to the Mr. Aw character. We also sent out an invite that gave a detailed breakdown of the party details. Along with the decor I built out signage for wayfinding during the event and customized photo booth signs to tie the theme together!
